Itinerary

Arrive in Bangkok and be warmly greeted by your local guide and driver for a transfer to your hotel. Relax and settle in, preparing for an exciting journey ahead.

Meet your private guide and driver to visit the Jim Thompson House Museum, a teak complex showcasing Thai paintings, pottery, and Khmer statues. Explore Wat Phra Kaew, home to the sacred Emerald Buddha, and marvel at the opulent Grand Palace, a hub of royal ceremonies. Cruise the Bangkok Canal by long-tail speedboat, passing the Royal Barges Museum and the iconic Wat Arun. In the evening, optionally explore Asiatique Night Market with your guide’s assistance.

Travel to Samut Songkhram in the Mae Klong River Delta to visit a unique railway market bustling with local trade. Continue to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in Ratchaburi, where merchants sell tropical fruits and goods from paddle boats. Cruise the Damnern canals by long-tail boat, visit a sugar palm factory, and learn about teakwood carving. At the Rose Garden, enjoy lunch and vibrant cultural shows, including Thai boxing, fingernail dance, and silk-weaving demonstrations (weather-dependent venue). Return to Bangkok.

Drive to Ayutthaya, the former Siamese capital (1350–1767), and explore its UNESCO-listed ruins, including Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, Wat Mongkhon Bophit, and Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, showcasing the empire’s grandeur despite Burmese destruction. Visit Bang Pa-In’s Royal Summer Palace, blending Thai, Chinese, Italian, and Victorian styles. Return to Bangkok as the sun sets.

Journey 45 minutes northeast to Banteay Srei, a 967 pink sandstone temple known as the “Citadel of Women” for its delicate Khmer carvings. In the afternoon, cruise Tonle Sap Lake to Chong Khneas floating village, visiting schools, fishing farms, and artisan shops. Stop at Les Artisan D’Angkor to observe art carving. Fly to Hanoi, where your guide will transfer you to your hotel.

Explore the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including the Mausoleum, stilt house, Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh Museum, and One Pillar Pagoda. Visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university dedicated to Confucius. After lunch, tour the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, showcasing 54 ethnic groups, and Hoa Lo Prison, the “Hanoi Hilton” where John McCain was held. Enjoy a 1-hour cyclo ride through the French-inspired Old Quarter, browsing markets and galleries. Conclude with a Water Puppet Show and a welcome dinner.

Transfer to Halong Bay, arriving at Tuan Chau Island by 12:15 PM. Board your cruise with a welcome drink and check-in, followed by lunch at 1:00 PM. Sail through Halong Bay’s limestone karsts, enjoying a spa treatment or sightseeing. Visit Sung Sot Cave or kayak near Luon Cave at 3:45 PM, followed by afternoon tea. Anchor at Coconut Tree Island for Happy Hour (5:00–6:30 PM) and a cooking demonstration. Savor a Royal Dinner at 7:30 PM, with movies or squid fishing afterward.

Start with a 6:30 AM Tai Chi session, followed by a light breakfast. Visit Titov Island at 8:00 AM or relax with a spa treatment. Tour Yangon’s colonial center, visiting the historic post office, Strand Hotel, Mahabandoola Garden, and Independence Monument. Conclude at Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar’s holiest site, with its golden stupa glowing at sunset as pilgrims pray.
