Today’s adventure begins with a Tuk Tuk ride to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. Drive to Ninh Binh province to explore Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam’s Dinh and Le dynasties. Continue to Tam Coc, often called “Halong Bay on Land,” and enjoy a peaceful boat ride through limestone karsts and rice paddies. Return to Hanoi in the evening. Overnight in Hanoi
Depart Hanoi for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay, where your luxury cruise awaits. Set sail through the emerald waters dotted with limestone islets and grottoes. Enjoy onboard activities, fresh seafood, and the surreal beauty of the bay. Overnight onboard the cruise
After breakfast, board a small sampan to explore a hidden lagoon as morning light dances across the towering limestone cliffs of Halong Bay. Continue cruising through the less-traveled Bai Tu Long Bay, passing striking rock formations like Human Head Island, Turtle Island, and Duck Islet. You'll also visit the filming location of the famous movie Indochine. Around noon, disembark and return to Hanoi by road. En route, stop in Hai Duong to visit the historic Con Son Pagoda—an inspiring site rich in history, culture, and religious significance. Later, transfer to Hanoi Airport for your afternoon flight to Danang, followed by a short drive to the charming Hoi An Ancient Town. Today’s tour offers a hands-on glimpse into rural Vietnamese life. Begin with a leisurely bicycle ride along scenic country roads, observing daily life in the countryside and stopping for photos of rice paddies, water buffalo, and traditional houses. Visit a local organic vegetable village, where you’ll join farmers in tending the soil and plants.
Continue to a rice field for a memorable buffalo ride, then cruise along the river to the Cua Dai Sea. Here, local fishermen will teach you traditional techniques using round and cast nets. Hop aboard a unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat and paddle through tranquil coconut-palm-lined waterways—once a hiding place during wartime. Hear stories of resilience and hardship from this historic region.

After breakfast, bid farewell to Hoi An and transfer to Danang Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and taken to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to rest or begin exploring Vietnam’s dynamic southern metropolis. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
This morning, journey to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels—an immense underground network used during the Vietnam War. Begin with a short documentary before exploring the narrow tunnels and viewing displays of ingenious booby traps, bomb craters, and relics from the war. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for an afternoon city tour. Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office, fine examples of French colonial architecture. Explore the Reunification Palace, a historic landmark now preserved as a museum, then continue to the War Remnants Museum, featuring powerful exhibits on the war’s legacy.
