Itinerary

Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, where your guide and driver warmly welcome you and transfer you to a centrally located hotel in the Old Quarter. After a brief rest, embark on a walking tour through the vibrant Old Quarter, sampling iconic street foods like banh cuon (steamed rice rolls), bun rieu cua (crab noodle soup), banh xeo (crispy pancakes), and Hanoi’s famous egg coffee. Visit Dong Xuan Market to explore local ingredients and conclude at a hidden coffee shop overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake, soaking in the weekend buzz.

Depart for Ninh Binh, a 2-hour drive south of Hanoi. Enjoy a serene boat ride through Trang An Eco-Tourism Complex, navigating 48 water-crossing caves and 31 valleys, home to rare flora and fauna. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Hoa Lu, the 10th-century ancient capital, exploring King Dinh and King Le Temples. Climb 500 steps to Hang Mua on Ngoa Long Mountain for panoramic views of Tam Coc and Ninh Binh. Return to Hanoi for dinner and board an overnight train to Sapa (departure ~8:30 PM, arrival ~6:30 AM).

Arrive at Lao Cai station and drive to Coc Ly Market, a vibrant Tuesday market along the Chay River where Flower H’Mong, Black Zao, and Tay minorities trade goods. Explore the bustling stalls, then cruise downstream by boat, marveling at caves and riverside scenery. Visit Trung Do, a Tay minority village, and enjoy lunch on a beach or in a village. Transfer to Sapa via Bao Nhai Bridge, checking into your hotel in this misty mountain town.

Drive from Sapa to Mong Sen to begin a 4-hour trek through rice terraces and cornfields, enjoying stunning mountain views. Pause for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot. Continue downhill to Taphin Village, home to Red Dao and Black H’Mong communities. Visit a local home to learn about their customs and traditions. Dine and spend the night in a village homestay, immersing yourself in local life.

Trek from Taphin to Matra Village, home to Black H’Mong, passing rice terraces and minority villages. Enjoy lunch in Matra, then continue to Sapa. Spend free time exploring Sapa’s markets or relaxing before transferring to Lao Cai station for the overnight train to Hanoi (departure ~8:30 PM, arrival ~5:30 AM).

Arrive in Hanoi at 5:30 AM and enjoy breakfast at a local pho restaurant, followed by coffee at Ca Bop Coffee Shop. Depart for Bai Tu Long Bay at 8:30 AM, arriving at noon. Board the Dragon Pearl Cruise with a welcome drink and sail through stunning limestone formations. After lunch, explore Thien Canh Son Cave, then kayak or relax at Hon Co Island’s sandy beach. Join a banh xeo cooking class, watch the sunset, and dine in a romantic bay setting. Try squid fishing in the evening.

At 8:00 AM, travel to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO-listed Cham temple complex. Spend 2 hours exploring with a guide, enjoying Champa performances. After lunch, cruise the Thu Bon River back to Hoi An, savoring scenic views. Transfer to Danang airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, your guide escorts you to your hotel for a free evening to explore the vibrant city.

Join a small group (4–12 people) at 7:30 AM to visit the Reunification Palace, a landmark of Vietnam’s history.
